  New Year’s Message from Azumi Nishizawa

  Happy New Year!
  
  With a newly-designed home page I am looking forward to a fresh start to a wonderful new year.
  Last year was one of deep unrest because of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, as well as the global economic recession and political turmoil.
  
  Against that background I am very grateful for my many blessings: the support I received from so many of you starting with my January Tokyo concert, and the fact that I was able to record a new CD at the end of the year using Yamaha’s top-of-the-line concert grand piano, the CFX.
  
  I learned the difficulty of life as well as the value of true friendship.
  
  This spring and summer I will be giving concerts in many countries in conjunction with the release (in May in Spain, and in June in Japan), of my new CD, “Falla: The Complete Piano Transcriptions” – which, together with my previous recording, “Falla: The Complete Piano Works,” constitutes the world’s first complete collection of Falla’s works for piano! I will keep everyone informed about the CDs and concert dates via this website.
  
  I pray for that the newly-begun 2012 will be a year full of health and happiness for all of you.
